Delhi Capitals' recent struggles
Delhi Capitals have experienced an inconsistent run in recent IPL seasons.
The team missed the playoffs in both 2025 and 2026, despite winning seven matches in each campaign.
Delhi's best IPL performance remains their runners-up finish in 2020, when they reached the final for the first time.
With no IPL title to their name and only one final appearance, the franchise will now look to Ganguly to help build a team capable of mounting a stronger title challenge.
