New Delhi, Feb 16 (IBNS): A day after India registered a thumping victory against Pakistan in the ICC Cricket World Cup in Australia, cricketer Yuvraj Singh's father Yograj Singh slammed Indian skipper MS Dhoni over his son's name being dropped from the Indian team.

"Want to know what is MS Dhoni's problem with my son, he played for nation even while suffering from cancer," Yuvraj's father said while speaking to media.

"I have to say to Dhoni that when your partner falls, it's your duty to take on your partner alongside," said he.

This came on a day when Yuvraj Singh went to Delhi Daredevils for a record fee of Rs 16 crore in the Indian Premier League (IPL), 2015 auctions on Monday.

However, Yuvraj did a damage control following his father's remark.

"Like every parent my dad is also passionate and I am sure got carried away always enjoyed playing under Mahi n would do so in future," he tweeted.
