Wawrinka lifts Chennai Open title

Chennai, Jan 11 (IBNS): Swiss Tennis star Stanislas Wawrinka defended his Chennai Open title by beating Slovenia's Aljaz Bedene in the final of the men's singles event here on Sunday.

The Swiss star defeated her opponent  6-3, 6-4.

The clash lasted for 69 minutes.

In a match that was completely one-sided, Wawrinka completely dominated the clash to clinch his third Chennai Open crown.

In the final of the double's clash, India's Leander Paes and Raven Klassen of South Africa were defeated by Jonathan Marray of Britain and Yen-Hsun Lu of Taiwan.
