Wawrinka ends Federer's run in French Open
Paris, June 2 (IBNS): Swiss Tennis legend Roger Federer's dream of clinching the ongoing French Open title as he was defeated by Stan Wawrinka in the men's singles quater-finals.
Federer was defeated by his opponent 6-4 6-3 7-6 (7-4).
Wawrinka caused a major upset in the tournament by defeating his fellow countryman.
He will face French Tennis star Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the semi-final.
Tsonga defeated Japanese player Kei Nishikori 6-1 6-4 4-6 3-6 6-3 in a hard-fought battle to book his seat in the last-four stage of the tournament.
