Virat Kohli, BCCI face heat on Twitter as India stare T20 World Cup exit

Dubai/IBNS: The Indian cricket board and national team captain Virat Kohli have faced the ire of fans on social media as men-in-blue are staring at a T20 World Cup exit following their disastrous performance against Pakistan and New Zealand.

One Axay Patel says, "2 minute silence for those who felt senti when #Virat announced his retirement as a captain in ipl and t20 after this world cup... i was also one of them now i'm thinking it was #ViratKohli 's best decision till date...He is most panauti captain i've ever seen."

"We as a Fan of #Virat Indian Team," another user said.

One Umar Ahmed has even compared Kohli's celebration style with his predecessor Mahendra Singh Dhoni as well.

In one Twitter video, a man, who had supposedly watched the match in the stadium, advised the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Indian Premier League (IPL) to shed their arrogance.

Tagging the BCCI, one RK said, " Kohli has finally turned Team India into RCB."

After getting thrashed by Pakistan by 10 wickets in the opening match of the tournament, India's journey took a body blow Sunday after they were outclassed by New Zealand by eight wickets.

Facing the New Zealand bowlers, Team India batters collapsed to finally set a mere total of 110 in 20 overs, making the job easier for the Kiwis.

With two losses in two matches, India's hopes to reach the knockout stage have further diminished as New Zealand and Afghanistan are fighting closely for the second post in the group after Pakistan qualified for the next stage.
