New Delhi, Jan 14 (IBNS): A CCTV footage showed a male table tennis coach was trying to drag a female player out of her hotel room while the girl was seen trying her best to defy the attempt.

The coach has been suspended, media reports said.

Sources said the incident took place during the 76th National Cadet and Sub-Junior Championship at Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh on December 26 last year when the coach was dragging a junior female player outside a hotel room. Altogether 16 players went to participate in the tournament from Chhattisgarh.

Following the shocking CCTV footage, the secretary of the Chhattisgarh Association also tendered his resignation as he took the responsibility of the incident.
