Suresh Raina retires from all forms of cricket

Indian cricketer Suresh Raina Tuesday announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.

Raina took to Twitter to say,"It has been an absolute honour to represent my country & state UP. I would like to announce my retirement from all formats of Cricket.

"I would like to thank @BCCI, @UPCACricket, @ChennaiIPL, @ShuklaRajiv sir & all my fans for their support and unwavering faith in my abilities."

Raina had retired from international cricket in 2020, soon after legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni did the same.

One of the most successful Indian Premier League (IPL) players, Raina quite surprisingly had failed to attract a buyer in the mega auction of the tournament earlier this year.

He was also not picked by his long-term IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings.
