Sydney, Jan 31 (IBNS) Shane Watson butchered the Indian bowling attack as he smashed unbeaten 124 runs which helped Australia post 197 for the loss of five wickets runs in the third and final T20 International match of the series against India here on Sunday.

Watson, who is captaining the match for Australia, came out in a destructive mood and hammered 10 boundaries and six sixes in his knock.

Travis Head contributed 26 runs with his willow and joined in a 93 runs fourth wicket partnership with Watson.

Watson and Shaun Marsh (9) had paired up for a 53 runs second wicket partnership.

Indian bowlers struggled in the match with all of them giving away runs.

Ashish Nehra,  Jasprit Bumrah, R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Yuvraj Singh picked up a wicket each.

India will need to score 198 runs in 20 overs. Australia had earlier won the toss and elected to bat first.

India have already won the three-match series.
