Shane Warne remark: Steve Waugh refuses to comment

Sydney, Feb 10 (IBNS): Former Australian skipper Steve Waugh has declined to comment following former teammate Shane Warne's claims that the World Cup winning captain was "the most selfish cricketer I've ever played with".

In a statement as published in Cricket Australia website, Waugh said :"I'm not justifying his comments with an answer."

Warne, who had featured in the 1999 World Cup winning squad that was captained by Waugh, has triggered a controversy when he  opened up about his axing from Australia's Test side on their tour of the West Indies in 1999.

"There's a lot of reasons I don't like Steve Waugh ... (one of them) because he's the most selfish cricketer I've played with," Warne was quoted as saying on Network Ten reality show 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here'.
