Rishabh Pant injured in car mishap, hospitalised

New Delhi: Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant was injured after a car in which he was travelling collided with the divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway, media reports said on Friday.

Pant has been admitted to a hospital where he is reportedly being treated for injuries in head, back and feet but is in a stable condition, reports Hindustan Times.

Some pictures of the car have gone viral on the social media which shows it has been completely gutted.

In some other pictures, the cricketer could be seen bandaged on the head and he has suffered severe injuries on the back.

The incident occurred close to Roorkee.

He was reportedly travelling from Delhi to Uttarakhand.

Pant is a regular member of the Indian team squad.

He has also served as the Vice-President of the team in several tournaments.

Former Indian crikceter VVS Laxman tweeted: "Praying for Rishabh Pant. Thankfully he is out of danger. Wishing @RishabhPant17a very speedy recovery. Get well soon Champ."

Ex-Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag said: "Wishing dear @RishabhPant17a super speedy recovery. Bahut hi Jald swasth ho jaao."
