Rajouri to host All India Level T-20 Cricket Tournament

Jammu/UNI: Authorities are gearing up to host an All India T-20 Cricket Tournament from November 18 in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir to promote sports culture among the youth.

District Development Commissioner, Rajouri, Rajesh Kumar Shavan chairing a meeting to finalize the modalities for the tournament being organised by Hill View Cricket Club.

It was informed that the tournament will commence from November 18 and teams and players from outside Jammu and Kashmir are expected to participate in the event.

The winning team will get a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 2,00000, while the runner up team will get a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 10000. Besides, the man of the match and man of the tournaments will also be rewarded.

The Deputy Commissioner assured full support in making the arrangements for successful conduct of the tournament.

He further informed that a three-month-long calendar of activities has also been released as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, which includes border Melas; Youth festivals etc.
