Rajeev Shukla appointed Chairman of IPL Governing Council

Mumbai, Apr 6 (IBNS): Ending speculations, Congress leader Rajeev Shukla was on Monday re-appointed as the chairman of the India Premier League (IPL) Governing Council.
Rajiv Shukla had held the position till 2013 after which he resigned following the IPL spot fixing scam.
 
Former cricket Sourav Ganguly has also been inducted into the IPL Governing Council Committee.
 
Ravi Shahstri also remained as a member of the Governing Council.
 
Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia will head the finance committee.
 
Former cricketer Anil Kumble remained as chairman of the Technical committee.
 
A new committee called Affiliations Committee has been set up, which will be headed by Anurag Thakur.
 
The Anti Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) sub-committee has been put on hold as of now, BCCI informed.
