England rattled in the series as it progressed even though Ben Stoke's team commenced their India tour with a bang by beating Rohit Sharma's men in the opening match.

Joe Root scored 84 runs while Jonny Bairstow scored 39 to remain the top two scorers for England in the second innings.

Earlier, India were bowled out for 477 runs with Rohit Sharma scoring 103 runs while Shubman Gill contributed 110.
