Paralympian Deepa Malik, former cue-star Manoj Kothari to receive CSJC lifetime achievement awards

Kolkata/IBNS: Para athlete and Rio 2016 Paralympics silver medalist Deepa Malik and former world billiards champion Manoj Kothari will receive lifetime achievement awards at the Calcutta Sports Journalist Club (CSJC) awards on Wednesday (January 24).

Padma Shri (2017), Khel Ratna (2019) and Arjuna (2012) Awardee Deepa Malik, who is the first ever Indian woman to win a medal in the Paralympic Games, will light up the award function which will be held in a Mandarmani resort in East Medinipur district of West Bengal on Wednesday evening.

Besides the Paralympic Committee of India's president Deepa Malik, chief national cuesports coach Manoj Kothari will be conferred the CSJC lifetime achievement award.

Meanwhile, billiards player Sourav Kothari will receive the Best Sportsperson of the Year award along with sport rifle shooter Mehuli Ghosh.

Bengal pacer Mukesh Kumar and wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh will receive the best cricketer’s award and Mohammedan Sporting Club’s David Lalhlansanga will get the best footballer’s award.
