New Zealand win toss, opt to bat first against England in World Cup final

London, July 14 (IBNS): New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat first against England in the World Cup final match here on Sunday.

It is after 1992 years that England have reached the final fo the showpiece event.

Neither England, nor New Zealand have won the tournament in the past.

This is for the first time that World Cup will be won bya  new team since 1996 when Sri Lanka had grabbed the trophy by beating Australia in the final.

New Zealand lost the chance of winning the title by whiskers in 2015 when Australia had won the title.

Two Teams are given below:

England: Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan (capt), Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler(wk), Chris Woakes, Liam Plunkett, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood

New Zealand: Martin Guptill, Henry Nicholls, Kane Williamson (capt), Ross Taylor, James Neesham, Tom Latham (wk), Colin de Grandhomme, Mitchell Santner, Matt Henry, Trent Boult, Lockie Ferguson
