Moscow, May 26 (IBNS) The Russian Tennis Federation has named four players, including Maria Sharapova, in their list of women who will compete in the upcoming Rio Olympics.

"They are Svetlana Kuznetsova, Maria Sharapova, Anastasia Pavliuchenkova, and Darya Kasatkina," TASS reported on the players who will compete in the game.

"The regulations for the 2016 Games say the countries can enter four women players having the biggest points in international ratings," it said.

In March this year, tainted Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova was suspended from professional tennis by the sport's global governing body post her admission of consuming banned performance enhancing substances.

Sharapova admitted that she was under the influence of meldonium, a drug she took and was tested positive.
