Kolkata School Football League kick-starts today

Kolkata, Jul 23 (IBNS): Sunfeast Kolkata School Football League kick-started its second edition in Kolkata on Tuesday.

In the opening match, the Calcutta Boys' School, Main Branch have beat the Kendriya Vidyalaya Barrackpore (3-0) and Bidhannagar Govt High School emerged victorious against the Metropolitan Institution (Main) (2-0) at the NKDA football stadium.

This year, the league has witnessed a surge in participation from U-18 football teams in top 24 schools in Kolkata.

Debashis Sen- I.A.S Chairman WBHIDCO & NKDA, Subrata Paul- Ex Indian Captain, Satyajit Chatterjee- Ex Mohun Bagan AC Captain, Kausik Basu- Hon. Jt. Asst. Secretary - I.F.A (W.B) and Subrata Dutta, Senior VP AIFF, were present on the first day of the tournament.
