Junior Indian Tennis players impress Tim
"The boys and girls of major cities of India like in Delhi, Mumbai or in Kolkata are playing awesome tennis," Tim said in Kolkata.
Tim came to Kolkata to join 'The Road To Wimbledon' presentation ceremony organized by All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), London based bank HSBC Ltd. and All India Tennis Association (AITA) in Kolkata's South Club.
Tim and head coach of All England Club Dan Bloxham will host three more coaching clinics alongside three National Under 14 singles events in Chandigarh (Jan 17-24), Delhi (Jan 31-Frb 7) and Mumbai (Feb 7-14).
The top sixteen boys and girls will be invited to play 'The Road to Wimbledon Junior Masters' in Delhi (Apr 6-11). The AELTC will invite the top two boys and girls finalists to compete in the UK HSBC National Finals at Wimbledon (Aug 10-15).
Tim advised junior players to improve their technical, physical and mental aspects to develop their skills.
"Though it is a very expensive game, but if you move well and decrease mistakes, you can be a good player and become a winner," Tim said.
He said Serbian Tennis star Novak Djokovic is his favourite to win the Australian Open this year.
"Roger Federar is my favourite sportsman and Novak Djokovic is my favourite to win upcoming Australian Open," Tim concluded.
