IPL: RR beat Delhi Daredevils

New Delhi, May 3 (IBNS): Rajasthan Royals defeated Delhi Daredevils by seven wickets in a Indian Premier League (IPL) match here on Saturday.

Chasing Delhi's 152 for five, Rajasthan reached 153 runs by losing three wickets with nine balls to spare.

Karun Nair led the side to victory with his unbeaten 73 off 50 balls. he smashed eight boundaries and two sixes in his knock.

Nair and Sanju Samson (34) added 51 runs in the second wicket partnership which cruised the side close to the target.

After Samson was dismissed, Rajat Bhatia added 17 runs before being bowled out by Delhi pacer Mohammed Shami.

Skipper Shane Watson (16*) and Nair reached the target without losing a wicket further.

Shahbaz Nadeem , Shami and Wayne Parnell picked  a wicket each for Delhi.

Earlier, Delhi scored 152 for five in 20 overs.

Quinton de Kock remained the top scorer for Delhi with his 42.

Pravin Tambe and James Faulkner picked up two wickets in the Rajasthan.
