IPL: Kings XI Punjab beat Delhi Daredevils

New Delhi, May 19 (IBNS): Kings XI Punjab defeated Delhi Daredevils by four wickets in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match here on Monday.

Akshar Patel played a crucial 42 not out knock which helped the side reach the target of 165 runs.

Delhi posted 164 for seven in their 20 overs while Punjab reached 165 by losing six wickets with two balls to spare.

Manan Vohra also contributed 42 with the bat as along with Virender Sehwag (23) he added 67 runs in the first wicket partnership.

Glenn Maxwell (14) and David Miller (2) who have contributed well so far in the tournament failed in the match on Monday.

Imran Tahir picked up three wickets for Delhi.

Delhi earlier scored 164 for seven in 20 overs.

Kevin Pietersen  (49) and Dinesh Karthik (69) contributed with their willows and remained the top -scorers for the side.

Sandeep Sharma  and Beuran Hendricks picked up three wickets each for Punjab.
