IPL: DC beat RR by 13 runs, return to top of points table

Dubai/UNI: Delhi Capitals (DC) produced a clinical all-round performance to beat Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 13 runs in the 30th match of IPL 2020, registering their sixth win in the cash-rich tournament at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, here on Wednesday.

DC, batting first, put up 161/7 in 20 overs courtesy half centuries by Shikhar Dhawan (57 off 33) and skipper Shreyas Iyer (53 off 43).

In reply, RR kept losing wickets at regular intervals and could score 148/8 in 20 overs, losing the match by 13 runs.

Ben Stokes (41 off 35) and Robin Uthappa (32 off 27) were the top scorers for RR.

Debutant Tishar Deshpande and Nortje bagged two wickets each, while Rabada, Ashwin and Axar Patel bagged one each for DC.

With this win, Delhi Capitals reclaimed the top spot on the points table. They have won six out of eight matches so far in the tournament.
