IPL 2019: Kolkata Knight Riders to take on Kings XI Punjab at Eden Gardens today

Kolkata, Mar 27 (IBNS): After winning their first match at home, Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Kings XI Punjab in the 12th edition of Indian Premier League at the Eden Gardens here on Wednesday.

In their last match, riding on powerful batting by all-rounder Andre Russel and Nitish Rana, Kolkata defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday.

On the other hand, Ravichandran Ashwin-led Punjab made Rajasthan Royals suffer a loss in Jaipur on Monday.

Ashwin is in the middle of a controversy after he Mankaded Rajasthan batsman Jos Buttler. However, Ashwin did not flout any cricketing rules.

The Kolkata-Punjab clash is scheduled to begin at 8 pm.
