IOC nomination: Sachin Tendulkar congratulates Nita Ambani

Mumbai, June 3 (IBNS): Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar on Friday appreciated Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation Nita Ambani's nomination as a candidate to be a new member, pending election, of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

"Congratulations #NitaAmbani on nomination to #IOC. Her passion for sports development is laudable. Proud moment for India & Women Power!" the cricketer tweeted.

Nita Ambani, Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation has been nominated as a candidate to be a new member, pending election, of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), headquartered at Lausanne, Switzerland on Friday.

The International Olympic Committee is the supreme authority of the Olympic Movement.
