Haryana makes Sakshi Malik Beti Bachao Beti Padhao brand ambassador

New Delhi/Rohtak, Aug 24 (IBNS): Indian wrestler and Olympic bronze medal winner Sakshi Malik will be Haryana's brand ambassador for the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign announced Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday, according to media reports.

Malik. the first woman wrestler in India to win an Olympic medal (in the 58kg freestyle category), returned home on Friday to a rousing welcome first in New Delhi airport and then in Haryana.

Welcome ceremonies were held in Bahadurgarh and her village Mokhra Khas in Rohtak district of Haryana.

At Bahadurgarh, she was handed over a cheque of Rs 2.5 crores by the state chief minister.
