Former Indian skipper Kapil Dev suffers cardiac arrest, undergoes angioplasty surgery

New Delhi/IBNS: India's first Cricket World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev has suffered a cardiac arrest, media reports said.

He is reportedly undergoing an angioplasty surgery at a hospital in New Delhi.

The news has left several people shocked.

Indian parliamentarian Shashi Tharoor tweeted, "Concerned to learn that the legendary Kapil Dev has suffered a heart attack & is in hospital. His mighty heart won many battles for India. Wishing him the very best in winning this one too."
