Karachi, Feb 15 (IBNS) Pakistani cricket fans destroyed TV sets in Pakistan after their national side lost their first match of the ongoing World Cup against arch-rivals India on Sunday.

A Pakistani TV channel showed fans destroying TV sets after the match.

"Disappointed Pakistani fans smashed television sets after India beat Pakistan by 76 runs in World Cup match," samaa.tv reported.

Former Pakistan captain and PTI chief Imran Khan tweeted: "Pakistanis shouldn't get depressed over today's loss to India. If performance is accurately analysed, the defeat can be blessing in disguise."

Former Pakistan spinner Saqlin Mustaq said: "Was a great game to watch .Unlucky Pakistan on the result lets keep working hard.Congratulations to India on the Win."

BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla tweeted: "Game should be taken in its own stride People should not break TV sets in Pakistan Its against the spirit of the game."

Riding on a big knock of Virat Kohli, India beat arch rivals Pakistan by 76 runs to register a spectacular win in their World Cup encounter at Adelaide.

With their batsmen surrendering one after another, Pakistan were far away from the 301 run target India set for them riding on a scintillating century of Virat Kohli (107). Pakistan were all out for 224 runs in 47 overs.
