Brisbane T20I: India win toss, elect to bowl first

| @indiablooms | Nov 21, 2018, at 01:06 pm

Brisbane, Nov 21 (IBNS): Indian skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bowl first in the first T20I match against Australia at The Gabba here on Wednesday.

The men-in-blue are buoyant with confidence after defeating Windies in recently concluded T20I series back home.

Australia, in absence of Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft, are bit disjointed compared to other times when they took on India. Smith, Warner and Bancroft were banned over the ball-tampering case, which had rocked the Australian cricket early this year.

India, under the leadership of skipper Kohli, are looking to clinch victory in the Australian soil.

Australia playing XI: A Finch, D Short, C Lynn, G Maxwell, MP Stoinis, Ben McDermott, A Carey, A Tye, J Behrendorff, A Zampa, B Stanlake.

India playing XI: R Sharma, S Dhawan, V Kohli, L Rahul, R Pant, D Karthik, K Pandya, B Kumar, K Yadav, K Ahmed, J Bumrah.
