Brijesh wins; team falters
Damani, the former Asian Gold medalist, continued his staggering form as he outplayed Ramesh Jaiswal, winning 100-31 at the Bengal Rowing Club.
Satrangi Squad started the game on a bright note as they came into the fourth day with a win over Shooting Stars. But Manan Chandra, the marquee player for Black Panthers, prevailed over Rohit Rajgharia. Brijesh Damani equalized the score but the Panthers came back stronger in the third and fifth frame to collect another win under their belts.
However, in another match of the day, Shooting Stars completely outclassed The Rockets as Rupesh Shah accompanied by Sunil Saraogi beat Sandip Gulati and Shakil Ahmed. Coming back from a doubles defeat yesterday to Pappu Penguins, the Arjuna awardee played to his worth snatching up the win in no time.
