Kolkata: Board of Control for Cricket in India chief Sourav Ganguly has been admitted to a hospital after he tested positive for COVID-19, media reports said.

The former India captain has been admitted in the Woodlands hospital in Kolkata with mild symptoms, reports India Today.

Ganguly is reportedly fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Ganguly is admitted to Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata and his viral load is 19.5, reports Outlook Magazine.

Ganguly, under whose leadership India reached the final of the 2003 World Cup, underwent an angioplasty earlier in the year following a mild heart attack.

India is once again witnessing a slight rise in daily count of COVID-19 cases in recent times.
