3rd T20I: Southern Stars set India Women a target of 137 runs
Sydney, Jan 31 (IBNS) The Australian Women cricket team after asking to bat first by visitors India, put up 136 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the third and final T20I of the series, here on Sunday.
India is leading the 3-match series 2-0.
Opening the bowling, Jhulan Goswami, India's seasoned campaigner removed Australian wicket-keeper Alyssa Healy in the first ball of the match.
The hosts however kept their partnership going to form a 49-run stand for the second wicket and another 26-run stand for the ensuing wicket.
For Australia, Ellyse Perry top score with 55 runs off 41 balls with 3 sixes and 4 fours.
Other contributors were Beth Mooney (34) and captain Meg Lanning (26).
Among the Indian bowlers, Goswami was the pick of them, picking up a wicket for 21 runs in her 4 overs.
Others wicket takers were Deepti Sharma (1) and Rajeswari Gayakwad (2).
