Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Farhan Akhtar starrer The Sky Is Pink releases today

Mumbai: Actors Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Farhan Akhtar starrer Indian film The Sky Is Pink hit the big screens on Friday.

The film was earlier screened at the Toronto International Film Festival 2019.

The film, which is based on a true story of romance and tragedy, has been directed by Shonali Basu. 

Bose had lost her son Ishan on Sept 13 nine years back and she stated during one of her interviews that The Sky Is Pink is based on a real person, Aisha Chaudhary.

Shonali added that the death of her son and the subsequent disintegration motivated her to make this film.

Shonali, in her heart-wrenching story of the Aisha (Wasim) born with a rare disease which breaks the family, her worsening condition and her death, ends the story with a powerful conclusive message of Aisha to her parents and the world at large never to lose hope.
