The romantic war drama stars Ranbir Kapoor alongside his wife and actor Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.

Filming wraps after two years

The filming of Love & War wrapped in early September 2026 following nearly two years of schedules and recent reshoots.

The film is slated for a theatrical release on January 21, 2027.

Bhansali reunites with Ranbir

Love & War marks Bhansali's reunion with Ranbir Kapoor after Saawariya (2007) and his first collaboration with Vicky Kaushal.

Bhansali previously worked with Alia Bhatt in the 2022 blockbuster Gangubai Kathiawadi.

The film also marks a reunion between Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal after their 2018 hit Raazi.

Ranbir and Vicky play Armed Forces officers

Set against a contemporary wartime backdrop, the film revolves around two Indian Armed Forces officers.

Ranbir's character is portrayed as dark and aggressive, while Vicky's role is described as calm yet strong-willed, setting up a tense rivalry between the two.

With Bhansali at the helm, Love & War brings together the three actors in a story combining romance, conflict and war.
