Bengali actress Subhashree Ganguly and her young son are currently stranded in Dubai amid the escalating conflict in the Middle East, following recent strikes on Iran by Israel and the United States.

According to reports, Subhashree and her son Yuvaan had travelled to Dubai for a vacation during his school holidays. However, they were left stranded after tensions in the region intensified, leading to widespread airspace restrictions and flight disruptions.

Her husband, filmmaker Raj Chakraborty, who is also a TMC MLA, confirmed that both mother and son are safe and are closely following official advisories, as reported by News18.

Subhashree is among the leading actresses in the Bengali film industry, known for her performances in films such as Challenge, Paran Jai Jaliya Re (2009), Romeo, Khokababu (2012), Khoka 420 (2013), Boss, Game, Ami Shudhu Cheyechi Tomay (2014), Abhimaan (2016), Boss 2: Back to Rule (2017), Nabab (2017), Chalbaaz (2018), Parineeta (2019), Dharmajuddha, Boudi Canteen (2022), Babli, Shontaan (2024), Grihapravesh, Dhumketu (2025) and Lawho Gouranger Naam Rey (2025).

Meanwhile, Bollywood actress Sonal Chauhan, who is also reportedly stranded in Dubai, has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for assistance.

In a post on X, Chauhan — who rose to fame with her role in Jannat — wrote:

“Hon’ble PM @narendramodi ji, I am currently stranded in Dubai due to the ongoing crisis, with flights cancelled and no clear way to return to India. I respectfully seek the Government’s guidance for a safe journey home. Grateful for any support extended.”
