It is also a human story of the brave BSF and BGB personnel’s guarding their respective countries.

Speaking at the event, Goutam Ghose, the director said, “We are in the same boat, brother“.

Basking in the glory, Prosenjit Chatterjee said, “I am extremely pleased by the way our association with Ashirbad Chalochittra and Impress Telefilm Ltd has shaped up. I strongly feel that movies can abolish the emotional boundary between India and Bangladesh."

"Bengali cinema has a large overseas market and I welcome joint productions. This is my second project with Goutam da after Moner Manush. I am sure Shankhachil will repeat the history of Moner Manush and will be well appreciated by all," he said.

Habibur Rahman Khan, Chairman of Ashirbad Chalochittra and Impress Telefilms stated “I have already made two Joint Venture Films with Goutam Ghose. We have made it a deal that all our films will be like that only. This time I asked Goutam to think a concept based on partition and about its aftereffect. Goutam thought about it, penned it and called me up. I liked the concept at the first go and decided to move forward with it. No one else other than Bumba could do this character, and he also agreed on his own to be the Indian Producer of such a beautiful story.”
