Mumbai, Dec 31 (IBNS): After failing in India, Aamir Khan starrer latest release Thugs of Hindostan did not create magic in China as well.

The movie released in the neighbouring nation recently.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#ThugsOfHindostan faces rejection in #China... Remained at low levels over the weekend... Fri $ 1.51 mn Sat $ 1.56 mn Sun $ 1.61 mn Total: $ 4.71 mn [₹ 32.93 cr] Total includes previews held earlier #TOH."

Apart from Aamir, the film's powerful cast included Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

However, the movie failed to attract moviegoers towards cinema halls.

The 2018 Diwali release was directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya.

Aamir's earlier movies like Dangal and Secreta Superstar had earned appreciations from the Chinese audience.
