Six held in Punjab's Gurdaspur police bust inter-state weapon and drug smuggling racket

In a major breakthrough, Gurdaspur police busted an interstate weapon and drug smuggling racket and arrested six wanted criminals.

The police recovered 9 pistols,10 magazines and 35 rounds from the accused.

State DGP Gaurav Yadav said on Saturday that out of the arrested the accused Rupinder is a resident of Chhattisgarh and involved in NDPS cases in Raipur.

He also said that Mani alias Mau is accused in murder cases and involved in weapon smuggling from Maharashtra. The other arrested persons have multiple cases registered in NDPS in various police stations.

Yadav said that the stern action will be taken against all involved in illegal weapon networks.
