Police arrest three people in CBSE paper leak case

New Delhi, Apr 1 (IBNS): The Delhi Police have arrested three people in connection with the CBSE paper leak incident, officials said.

The arrested people include two teachers of a private school in northwest Delhi.

The head of a coaching centre was also arrested by the police.

The government on Sunday one official, who was in charge of the exam centre in outer Delhi's Bawana, has been suspended.

Union Education Secretary Anil Swarup said the suspended person has been identified as KS Rana.

Swarup tweeted: "Consequent to the arrest of 2 teachers from Mother Khajani Convent School, Mungeshpur, Delhi, & a coaching institute Head, Tauquir by Delhi Police, for colluding to leak the Class12 eco. paper & probe done by CBSE, a #CBSE personnel, KS Rana, found lax in supervision. (1/2)."

"On the direction of the HRD Minister @PrakashJavdekar to take swift action against culprits, the Board has suspended K S Rana, the official found lax in supervising examination centre (0859) with immediate effect. A formal inquiry has been instituted (2/2)," he said.

After leak incidentcame to light, on Wednesday, the CBSE had announced retests for the Class 10 mathematics and Class 12 economics subjects.
