PM Modi arrives in Trichy, to unveil multiple development projects worth Rs 19,850 Cr

Tiruchirapalli/UNI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived here at Tiruchirapalli on Tuesday morning, where he will lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth more than Rs 19,850 crore.

He was received by Governor R N Ravi, Chief Minister M K Stalin, senior government officials, and others.

Later, Modi left Tiruchirapalli international airport for Bharathidasan University by road, where he will be the chief guest at the 38th convocation ceremony. He will give awards to 1528 meritorious students and deliver a special address.

After the convocation event, the PM will inaugurate the New Terminal Building at Tiruchirapalli airport, built at a cost of more than Rs 1100 crore, dedicate the nation, and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth more than Rs 19,850 crore related to the aviation, rail, road, oil and gas, shipping, and higher education sectors.

After winding up his Tamil Nadu visit, Modi will leave for Lakshadweep, where he will dedicate himself to the nation and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth more than Rs 1,150 crore.

Heavy police deployment has been made across to beef up security arrangements in view of PM Modi's visit.
