No question of rethinking of alliance with BJP: Shiromani Akali Dal

Moga/UNI: The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Thursday clarified that there was no 'question of rethinking' of alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Senior SAD leader and spokesperson Dr. Daljeet Singh Cheema after a meeting with party workers, claimed that there was absolutely no difference in opinion over breaking the alliance with the BJP in the party as SAD was a party of farmers.

Dr. Cheema said that it had to vote against the farm bills in the Parliament, adding that the party has its own ideology.

On the question of SAD president Sukhbir Sing Badal's move to form a front of all the regional parties opposed to farm bills, Dr. Cheema said that Badal was in touch with the leaders of regional parties.

"Regional parties feel that there is a threat to the federal structure because of the attitude of the Narendra Modi Government", he said.
