New Delhi, Mar 9 (IBNS): BJP leader Ram Madhav on Friday said the party will capture northeast once it will win in Mizoram.

" We will try our best in Mizoram; once we have won in Mizoram we will have the BJP in the entire northeast," Madhav told NDTV.

He was given the charge of  northeast  for quite some time now.

The victory in Tripura has given BJP its northeast push.

"With Tripura we are several steps ahead in our northeast pus," Madhav told the news channel.

Madhav said the party is ready to work with ex-CM Manik Sarkar for the development of the state.

"The BJP has ideological differences with the Left, but for the sake of development the party can work with experienced people like Manik Sarkar," Madhav said.

Meanwhile, Biplab Kumar Deb has sworn-in as  Tripura Chief Minister to head the new BJP government in the state.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was present at the oath-taking ceremony on Friday.

Deb became the first BJP CM in the state.

A former gym instructor, BJP state president Biplab Dev was born in  Akraban, Udaipur in Gomoti District of Tripura. He was a volunteer with the RSS earlier.

Deb succeeded Manik Sarkar as the CM of the state.

The BJP has uprooted the 25-year long Left rule in Tripura.

The BJP-IPFT alliance swept the poll with 43 seats as opposed to Left's 16 with one seat yet to be polled.
