Jammu and Kashmir: CUK commemorates Constitutional Day

Srinagar: Central University of Kashmir (CUK) Thursday organized several functions, across its campuses here, to commemorate the Constitution Day.

According to a statement, the university’s Directorate of Students Welfare organized a webinar on “Duties of Citizens to Protect and Improve the National Environment,” at Green Campus, and coordinated two more functions; one in collaboration with Kashmir University and another with the Ministry of Justice.

The Department of Law also organized a programme to celebrate the Day at Tulmulla Campus.

Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir, said the Constitution of India is one among the best in the world and its three main pillars Legislative, Executive and Judiciary are doing a commendable job in protecting the rights and freedom of individuals, irrespective of caste, creed, color, gender and religion, across the length and breadth of the country.
