Gurugram: CCTV footage obtained from the Gurugram hotel, where the former model Divya Pahuja was shot dead, has helped the police reconstruct the events that transpired on the day of the murder, media reports said.

The video shows Divya Pahuja at the hotel reception with Abhijeet Singh, the primary suspect and hotel owner, in the early hours of Tuesday, according to an NDTV report.

In less than 20 hours, the footage depicts two men dragging her lifeless body down a corridor in the hotel.

Former model Divya Pahuja was gunned down has helped the police piece together the sequence of events on the day of the murder.

Coincidentally, the footage capturing the body being dragged marks its final sighting.

According to the police, the body was transported to Abhijeet Singh's BMW, which was then driven in the direction of Punjab and later abandoned, the report said.

Although the car has been discovered in Patiala, the police have yet to locate the body, prompting an extensive search operation.

Divya Pahuja, 27, had spent seven years in jail for her alleged involvement in the fake encounter of her then-boyfriend, Gurugram gangster Sandeep Gadoli, in 2016.

She was out on bail granted in June of the previous year.

CCTV footage from Hotel City Point's reception at 4:18 am on Tuesday shows Abhijeet Singh, Divya Pahuja, and another man entering.

Singh and the third person speak with the receptionist while Pahuja stands behind.

After a few minutes, Singh and Pahuja move deeper into the hotel, while the third person talks to the receptionist before following them.

In the next video around 10:45 pm, two men are seen dragging Pahuja's wrapped body down a hotel corridor.

One of them later returns alone. Police report that the body was taken to Singh's blue BMW and disposed of.

According to sources, Divya Pahuja possessed explicit videos of Abhijeet Singh on her phone, which he had asked her to delete.

Allegedly, the former model was using these photos to blackmail the hotel owner, which could be the reason behind her murder by Singh and at least two aides.

Pahuja's family vehemently denies these allegations.

Singh, along with his alleged accomplices Omprakash and Hemraj, has been caught.

Police have launched an intensive manhunt for two or three more aides, who allegedly received Rs 10 lakh from Singh to dispose of Pahuja's body.
