Mumbai, Jan 13 (IBNS) Mumbai Police Commissioner's office has received a letter purportedly written by a member of terrorist group ISIS that threatens to kill an ATS officer and his family, reports said.

ACP Bhanupratap Barge, an officer with Pune Anti-Terror Squad (ATS), has been named in the letter. The alleged ISIS member has threatened to kill Barge and his family members.

The letter was received around two weeks ago, following which the ATS began a probe into the issue.

This comes days after a 16-year-old girl from Pune, who had expressed her desire to join ISIS, was de-radicalised by Barge's team. She had expressed her desire to join ISIS.
