Tel Aviv/UNI: Thousands of Israelis from all walks of life gathered here in the central part of the city to support peace between Israel and Palestinian, a human rights organization said Sunday.

The rally was organised by Shalom Achshav (Peace Now) - a human rights organization on Saturday. The NGO advocates for a peaceful two-state resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

"In Tel Aviv, just now, thousands of us are raising our voices: Yes to equality, yes to Palestinian- Jewish partnership, Yes to peace," the NGO posted on Twitter.

Israeli media reported that several thousand people gathered in the square in front of the Habima Theater in central Tel Aviv.

Among those who addressed the demonstrators were writer David Grossman and mainly politicians representing leftist and Arab parties of Israel.

The protesters called for a full-fledged peace deal with Palestine.
