Married just 17 days ago: Hyderabad engineer mysteriously found dead at US home
A 28-year-old Hyderabad man, who had got married just 17 days earlier, was mysteriously found dead inside his house in the United States, media reports said.
Mohammed Jaber Hussain was found dead inside his room at his residence in Massachusetts, where he was working as a civil engineer.
Family informed by roommate
According to reports, Hussain last spoke to his family on September 14.
Hours later, his roommate contacted the family and informed them about his death.
The circumstances surrounding his death have not been disclosed.
Family seeks help for repatriation
Hussain's family has sought assistance from the Government of India to bring his mortal remains back to Hyderabad, citing financial difficulties.
Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) spokesperson Amjed Ullah Khan conveyed Hussain's father's appeal to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, seeking government assistance with the repatriation process.
Khan wrote on X: “I have requested you to kindly direct the @IndianEmbassyUS or @IndiainNewYork to extend all necessary assistance to the family, coordinate with the concerned US authorities and facilitate the repatriation of his mortal remains to Hyderabad at the earliest.
“I also earnestly request the Government of India, through your good offices, to bear the expenses involved in transporting his mortal remains from the USA to India, considering the extremely poor financial condition of the bereaved family.”

Hussain moved to US in 2021
Reports said Hussain moved to the US in 2021 to pursue a master's degree in civil engineering at the University of New Haven in Connecticut.
After completing his degree in 2023, he joined a firm named Estimator as an intern.
He subsequently switched jobs several times and was working as a civil engineer in Massachusetts when he died.
Further details about the circumstances surrounding his death were not immediately available.
