China: Mine explosion kills 17

Beijing, Dec 3 (IBNS): An explosion at a coal mine killed at least 17 people in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, media reports said on Saturday.

Several people are reportedly trapped in the  pit in Chifeng City.

"Many others remain trapped in the pit in Chifeng City," Xinhua news agency reported.
