China: Construction equipment collapse leaves 40 killed
Beijing, Nov 24 (IBNS): The platform of a power plant's cooling tower under construction in China collapsed on Thursday, leaving at least 40 people killed, media reports said.
The incident happened in Jiangxi Province.
"Rescuers earlier said that the death toll passed 40, but later corrected it to 40. It is likely to rise as an unknown number of people are still trapped," Xinhua news agency of China reported.
Rescue operation is currently going on.
