Subho Halder overcomes Pranav Jain's challenge in Calcutta Hard Court Tennis Tournament

Kolkata, Sept 10 (IBNS): Top seed in the qualifying draw of Men's Open Singles, Subho Halder struggles for 2hrs and 10mins to overcome the challenge from young Pranav Jain at the ongoing Calcutta Hard Court Tennis Tournament 2017, been held at both the synthetic as well as the red clay courts of the prestigious Calcutta South Club.

Halder had to display utter patience and determination to unsettle the 17 year old Jain as the former won the final qualifying round by a close 6-3,7-5.

Similarly, 2nd seeded Amit Routh was also stretched to the limits by Anubhav Tirathlal as the former somehow managed to enter the main draw by a long 4-6,6-3,7-5 victory.

Unseeded Rishi Chaturvedi also entered the main draw of Men's Singles by a 2-6,6-1,6-2 win over Kanav Goel. Fourth and the last person entering the main draw is Raghav Khullar, seeded 4th in the qualifying, who had an easy task against Zaid Akhtar.
