Saina Nehwal drops to no. 2 spot after short stint as world No. 1
Kolkata, Apr 9 (IBNS) Ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal slipped to No. 2 spot, as per the Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings released on Thursday.
Reigning Olympic champion Li Xuerui regained the top spot after Saina Nehwal lost at the Malaysia Open Super Series Premier semifinals.
She has however said that she is confident of reaching the No. 1 spot again.
Currently, she has dropped out of the ongoing Singapore Open to prepare for the gruelling season ahead.
Meanwhile, P V Sindhu retained her no. 9 ranking.
