Ahmedabad, Apr 24 (IBNS): Riding on an unbeaten 98 runs second wicket partnership between Virat Kohli (62*) and AB de Villiers (47*), Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Rajasthan Royalas by nine wickets in an Indian Premier League match here on Friday.

After restricting Rajasthan side to 130 runs, RCB batsmen reached the winning runs by losing a single wicket and with 23 balls to spare.

Kohli was specially merciless with his bat as he hammered three huge sixes and a boundary in his 46-ball knock.

AB de Villiers gave him a good company with his 34-ball 47.

Shane Watson took the only wicket for Rajasthan as he took the wicket of Chris Gayle (20) to give early blows to RCB.

Earlier, Rasjasthan were restricted to 130 runs for the loss of nine wickets.

Steve Smith remained the top scorer for the side with his 31.

Mitchell Starc took three wickets for RCB.
